Well over 5 million believers committed to engage in prayer for Israel for at least one hour a day for 21 days (May 7-28) for the increase of God’s salvation promises and plans for Jerusalem and Israel. Some will pray alone and others will pray with 2 or more (Mt. 18:20)—virtually or in-person—in their home, office, dorm, or at their church, etc.

A collaboration of ten thousand ministries—including Lou Engle, Jason Hubbard, Mike Bickle—called many believers to participate in a global solemn assembly (May 7-28)to fast in various ways and to pray for the Lord’s purposes for Israel AND to ask Him to raise up 100 million intercessors for Israel according to His promise in Isaiah 62:6 to sovereignly “set,” “appoint,” or “mark” intercessors who will remind the Lord of His promises for Jerusalem until Jesus returns. Isaiah 62:6 is an end-time promise that is now escalating across the earth.

6On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed [set, KJV] watchmen; all day and all night they will never keep silent. You [intercessors] who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves; 7And give Him no rest until He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth [at Jesus’ return]. (Isa. 62:6-7, NAS)

In the first 3 weeks of announcing this fast on March 7, over 1,000,000 are set to participate in various ways. By May 7, over 5 million set their heart to engage in this 21-day fast in various ways (some will fast on water, some on vegetables, or juices, or taking one meal a day, and some will “fast media” instead of food, etc.).

Believers hold various eschatological positions. The Isaiah 62 website does not address any eschatological position. It invites believers of all positions to pray 21 days for Jerusalem and Israel.

The IHOPKC prayer room is committed to worship and pray non-stop 24/7 for 3 weeks (May 7-28) for Israel. Over 300 on the IHOPKC full-time ministry staff have personally committed to be in our prayer room for 6-12 hours a day for all 21 days. I am grateful for their response to lay aside many of their normal responsibilities to do this! The IHOPKC prayer room is only one of many HUBs engaging in this. For more info on how your church or ministry can be a HUB see isaiah62fast.com or the Isaiah 62 Fast Facebook page.

The isaiah62fast.com website identifies churches, ministries, Bible studies, youth groups, etc. that desire to be a “HUB” that provides ministry resources, regular communication, etc. in mobilizing others for 21 days (May 7-28). If you want your church or ministry info listed on isaiah62fast.com,then click on the link for more information.

We are praying for a greater manifestation of God’s glory to be openly displayed in numerous ways including fulfillment of His covenant promises to Israel to make Zion a praise in the earth and to establish Israel as the leading nation on the earth that inspires all nations to work in justice and righteousness. Israel has been a blessing to the nations and it is our responsbility to be a blessing to Israel and pray, give, and serve Israel’s calling until Jerusalem becomes a praise in the earth. God’s honor is at stake in the fulfillment of His unique promises to Israel and our part is to agree with those promises and advocate for them.

In addition, Israel’s national repentance (Act 3:19) and confession that Jesus is Messiah (Mt. 23:39) is deeply connected to Jesus’ second coming, the Great Commission, and “life from the dead” for the whole earth (Rom. 11:15) that comes when God fulfills His promises to Israel.

This will be the first time in history that far more than 1 million will continue 24 hours a day for 21 days in praying for God’s promises for Israel. The uniqueness of this prayer initiative is itself a sign of the times and an acceleration of God’s “set time for a generation yet to be created” to engage together in His purposes for Israel (Ps. 102:13, 18).

13You will…have mercy on Zion [Jerusalem]; the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come… 18This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord. (Ps. 102:13-18)

This 21-day fast is a “global Esther moment” (Esth. 4:14-16) that will be a significant down payment for the final ultimate global Esther moment when millions of believers will engage in prayer, speak out boldly for God’s purposes for Israel (as seen in Scripture), and stand with Israel as anti-Semitism increases until Jesus returns (Zech. 14:1-5). This fast is also important for today as Israel faces several very significant conflicts.

14“For if you remain silent [unresponsive] at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place…who knows if you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” 15Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai: 16“Go, gather all the Jews…and fast for me…My maids and I will fast …so I will go to the king…and if I perish, I perish!” (Esth. 4:14-16)

Love Offerings: To Support Jewish Ministries

We urge all the ministries engaging in our global solemn assembly (May 7-28) to take regular offerings to support our Jewish brothers and sisters in Israel and in the nations. Ask the Lord to show you which Jewish  ministries to give to and then contact them directly.

The impact of several million believers giving offerings to Jewish ministries will be historic. We encourage each ministry to collect offerings from their spiritual community throughout these 21 days to present after May 28 to Jewish ministries who they trust to distribute to help the needy.

The Lord is glorified as His people pray and fast in the spirit of Isaiah 58

6“Is this not the fast that I have chosen…to undo the heavy burdens…?
7Is it not to share your bread with the hungry…? (Isa. 58:6-7)

27Pure and undefiled religion…is to visit [help] orphans and widows in their trouble…(Jas. 1:27)

The Gentiles saints in Macedonia understood their “duty” to financially help the saints in Jerusalem.

26It pleased those from Macedonia…to make a contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem…27they [Gentile believers] are their debtors [to the saints in Jerusalem]. For if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things [entrusted by God to Israel], their duty is also to minister to them in material things. (Rom. 15:26-27)

1…we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia…3that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing…7see that you abound in this grace also…14[that] your abundance may supply their lack…that there may be equality [in the stewardship of the gospel]. (2 Cor. 8:1-14)

Many are believing God for supernatural increase of finances to fund kingdom initiatives. One reason God releases wealth to Gentiles is to help the saints in Jerusalem (Isa. 60:5).

5…the wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you [Jerusalem]. (Isa. 60:5)

How to Become a HUB for the Fast

We are grateful for the thousands of ministries that are participating in this fast. We are identifying ministries that desire to be a “HUB” and participate in regular intercession for Israel in their area, as well as participate in other global prayer events as they emerge over the years. These Hubs will provide various resources which may include regular updates, prayer guides, live chats, live web stream of prayer meetings and more. The directory lists the website and/or ministry app in order to mobilize and equip others.

Any church, home group, prayer group or ministry can be a HUB for 21 days of prayer (May 7-28) by committing to engage in at least one hour of prayer each day for 21 days with at least 2-3 people (Mt. 18:20). Their prayer meetings can be virtual or in person.

If they want, their website will be posted on the Isaiah62Fast.com website (this is not an IHOP website). In this way, they will be able to communicate to new people in their area who will see info about their ministry or prayer group on the Isaiah 62 website and thus will be able to participate in their prayer meetings and social media during these 21 days. The Isaiah62Fast.com website lists the websites or ministry apps of all the churches, ministries, or prayer groups that would like to share their ministry resources and engage in social media with the people in their area who see their info on this website.

For a ministry to be an Isaiah 62 Hub, we are asking:

  • Put info about the Isaiah 62 Fast (May 7-28, 2023) on your home page and social media with the PDF that provides more info about it. (Click here to download the PDF.)
  • Host a daily prayer meeting for at least one hour with at least 2-3 people either virtually or in-person (in your church, prayer room, home, office, dorm, etc.)
  • Where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them. (Matthew 18:20.
  • Be committed to the spirit of the Fast as set forth in Isa. 58 to care for the poor and oppressed.

Why 100 million Intercessors for Israel is a Reality

God has given various people the number 100 million intercessors over the years in prophetic encounters. Eric Watt, Jason Hubbard (IPC), and team have visited IHOPKC a number of times over recent years. They represent and communicate regularly with leaders that oversee 5,000+ prayer networks that collectively include 130 million believers (at first I found those numbers hard to believe). In their recent visit (Dec. 2022), they shared that the leaders of these 5,000+ prayer networks and the 130 million intercessors connected to them will stand together to pray for the same area of the earth4 times in 2023 in a global mission initiative called 110cities.com. I am overwhelmed as I consider that this is the first time in history that over 100 million believers will pray for the same geographical area together on the same day (see Jn. 17:21-23).

These 100 million prayed for China on January 22, 2023. They will pray for the Middle East on April 17, for Israel on May 28, and for India on October 31. These 100 million believers are deeply committed to Jesus and to the Great Commission, but many of them are not yet connected to the Lord’s biblical purpose for Israel. But for one day (May 28, 2023) 100 million will pray for Israel as they did for China on January 22. But for 21 days leading up to May 28, 1 million+ intercessors will fast and pray asking the “Holy Spirit to ambush” them by marking the hearts of these 100 million for His purposes for Israel.

Summary: In this Isaiah 62 Fast, thousands of ministries will host daily prayer meetings with fasting— together we will mobilize over 1 million+ to pray for Israel AND for the Spirit to mark 100 million intercessors on May 28 to see God’s heart for Israel. IHOPKC is only one of many HUBs hosting this Isaiah 62 Fast. Also see the Isaiah 62 Fast Facebook page.

Why Do We So Value Praying for Jerusalem and Israel?

We are praying for a greater manifestation of God’s glory to be openly displayed in numerous ways including fulfillment of His covenant promises to Israel to make Zion a praise in the earth and to establish Israel as the leading nation on the earth that inspires all nations to work in justice and righteousness. Israel has been a blessing to the nations and it is our responsibility to be a blessing to Israel and pray, give, and serve Israel’s calling. God’s honor is at stake in the fulfillment of His unique promises to Israel and our part is to agree with those promises and advocate for them. Israel’s national repentance (Act 3:19) and confession that Jesus is Messiah (Mt. 23:39) is deeply connected to Jesus’ second coming, the Great Commission, and “life from the dead” for the whole earth (Rom. 11:15) that comes when God fulfills His promises to Israel.

Jesus will not return until the leaders in Jerusalem acknowledge Him as Messiah according to Psalm 118:26.

37“O Jerusalem…39you shall see Me no more [a reference to Jesus’ return] till you say, ‘Blessed is He [Jesus] who comes in the name of the LORD [thus, acknowledging Him as Messiah—Psalm 118:26].’” (Mt. 23:37-39)

Peter proclaimed that the Father would not send Jesus from heaven back to earth until many in the nation of Israel repent and are converted in context to “the times of restoration of all things” spoken by the prophets (Acts 3:19-21).

19Repent therefore and be converted, that your [Israel’s] sins may be blotted out, so that…20He may send Jesus Christ…21whom heaven must receive [keep or retain at the Father’s right hand] until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by…all His holy prophets. (Acts 3:19-21)

Paul taught that the nation of Israel would be “provoked to jealousy” to have a relationship with the God of Israel (Rom. 11:11) that they will see in the lives of many Gentile believers. There have been individuals Jews who have been provoked to jealousy by a Gentile, but this has not yet happened to Israel on a national level.
It will surely occur in the generation the Lord returns, when “the fullness of the Gentiles” is openly manifest (Rom. 11:25)—when millions of Gentile believers walk in mature love, power, and understanding of God’s purposes (including His plans for Israel). This will lead to “all Israel” coming to salvation (Rom. 11:26).

11“Through their fall [Israel’s]to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles…13I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry, 14if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some…25[spiritual] blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26And so all Israel will be saved… (Rom. 11:11-14, 25-26)

When “all Israel” is saved (Rom. 11:26)–it will result in “life from death for the world” (Rom. 11:15). God’s blessing on Israel is connected to the fullness of the Great Commission and His glory covering the earth.

15If their [Israel’s] being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead [including the fullness of the Great Commission]? (Rom. 11:15)

Jesus referred to Jerusalem as His city—the city of the great King (Mt. 5:35; cf. Ps. 48:2).

35[Jesus said]…Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. (Mt. 5:35)

2the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion…the city of the great King. (Ps. 48:2)

The Lord has great zeal and love for Jerusalem.

2Thus says the Lord of hosts: “I am zealous for Zion [Jerusalem] with great zeal; with great fervor I am zealous for her…3I will return to Zion and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem.” (Zech. 8:2-3)

2All nations shall flow to it [Jerusalem]3Many shall come and say, “Come, and let us go…to the house of the God”…out of Zion shall go forth…the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. (Isa. 2:2-3)

The only two cities Scripture commands us to pray for is the city we live in (Jer. 29:7) and Jerusalem.

6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you. (Ps. 122:6)

7And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace. (Jer. 29:7)

God promised to raise up intercessors for Jerusalem specifically in the end times. He will sovereignly “set,” “appoint,” or “mark” intercessors who will be alive and engaged in reminding the Lord of His promises for Jerusalem when He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth, which is when Jesus returns. Thus, Isaiah 62:6 is an end-time promise that is now escalating across the earth. The Lord has shown a number of people over the years that He would raise up 100 million intercessors for Israel before His return.

God promised to protect those who mourned or prayed for Jerusalem during a season of His judgment on the wickedness of Jerusalem when He sent the Babylonian army in 586 BC to destroy the city.

1Then He called out…,“Let those [angels] who have charge over the city [Jerusalem] draw near…4and the Lord said to him [an angel], “Go through…the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it [Jerusalem].” 5To the others He said…,“Go through the city and kill; do not let your eye spare…” (Ezek. 9:1-5)

10Rejoice with Jerusalemall you who love her…you who mourn for her… (Isa. 66:10)

May 7-28, 2023 will be the first time in history that 1 million+ together will continue 24 hours a day for 21 days in praying for God’s promises for Israel. The uniqueness of this initiative is itself a sign of the times and an acceleration of God’s “set time for a generation yet to be created” (Ps. 102:13, 18).

13You will…have mercy on Zion [Jerusalem]; the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come…18This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord. (Ps. 102:13-18)

This 21-day fast is a “global Esther moment” (Esth. 4:14-16) that will be a significant down payment for the final, ultimate global Esther moment when millions of believers will engage in prayer, speak out boldly for God’s purposes for Israel (as seen in Scripture), and stand with Israel as anti-Semitism increases until Jesus returns (Zech.

This 21-day global Isaiah 62 Fast will be catalytic in sparking an acceleration of a biblical conversation about Israel in the body of Christ across the nations in this hour. This fast ends on Pentecost Sunday, May 28. On this day, 100 million believers will be praying for Israel together—see 110Cities.com.

This text only gives general ideas for why Jerusalem is important. It is not a comprehensive theological statement.

God’s Grand Family Plan—5 Essential Parts (Rom. 11)

Paul felt urgency that the body of Christ needed to understand God’s plan for Israel’s salvation.

25I do not desire…that you should be ignorant of this mystery…that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26So all Israel will be saved… (Rom. 11:25-26)

11to provoke [Israel] to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles…
12If [Israel’s] fall…is riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness! (Rom. 11:11-12)

In Romans 11, Paul highlighted 5 parts of God’s plan to bring the gospel to the nations. God’s mystery refers to His “secret plan” that He hid until He revealed it to the apostles (Eph. 3:5, 9).

Part 1: The mystery of Israel’s spiritual blindness is occurring even now (11:25)
Part 2: The mystery of the fullness of the Gentiles will occur before Jesus returns (11:25)
Part 3: The mystery of Israel being provoked to jealousy by Gentiles before Jesus returns (11:11)
Part 4: The mystery of all Israel being saved in context to Jesus’ return (11:26)
Part 5: The mystery of the fullness of Israel (11:12) resulting in the millennial earth filled with God’s glory (Hab. 2:14) in context to the Father’s international family of affection (Jn. 17:23)

PART 1: THE MYSTERY OF ISRAEL’S SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS (ROM. 11:25)

Israel’s spiritual blindness–is partial and temporary. Thus, there has always been a remnant of Jewish believers in Jesus, and it has continued to increase dramatically over the last 40 years.
Israel’s rejection of Jesus is neither total (11:1-10) nor final (11:11-32).

25I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery…that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. (Rom. 11:25)

PART 2: THE MYSTERY OF THE FULLNESS OF THE GENTILES (ROM. 11:25)

The fullness of the Gentiles includes the full number saved, walking in fullness of godly character and power, embracing the fullness of God’s narrative, resulting in the fullness of God’s purpose.

25…blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. (Rom. 11:25)

PART 3: THE MYSTERY OF ISRAEL BEING PROVOKED TO JEALOUSY (ROM. 11:11)

Israel will one day be provoked to jealousy, desiring to have what Gentile believers have spiritually in their relationship with the God of Israel as they clearly see the “fullness of the Gentiles.” God will use Gentiles in Israel’s nation salvation (11:11)—Israel will be impacted by the mercy shown to Gentiles (11:31). God’s plan is that all His people receive and give undeserved mercy.

11…to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles… 31that through the mercy shown you[Gentiles] they also may obtain mercy…that He might have mercy on all. (Rom. 11:11, 31)

PART 4: THE MYSTERY OF ALL ISRAEL BEING SAVED (11:26)

Israel will be the first nation to be totally saved and live righteously (Isa. 60:21). Literally 100% of the Jewish people who survive the Great Tribulation (“Jacob’s trouble”, Jer. 30:7) will love Jesus and walk in righteousness (Isa. 45:17, 25; 59:20; 60:21; Zech. 12:10; 13:9; 14:20).

26And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written… (Rom. 11:26)

21Your people [Israel] shall all be righteous[and] inherit the land forever…that I may be glorified. (Isa. 60:21)

PART 5: THE MYSTERY OF THE FULLNESS OF ISRAEL (ROM. 11:12)

The mystery of the fullness of Israel (11:12) will result in the earth filled God’s glory (Hab. 2:14)
in context to God’s international family of affection overflowing with undeserved mercy (11:32).

12Now if their [Israel’s] fall is riches for the world…how much more their fullness15what will their [Israel’s] acceptance [of Jesus] be but life from the dead [millennial earth]? (Rom. 11:12-15)

God’s mystery results in His international family of affection (Jn. 17:23). The fullness of God will be released only as both the fullness of Israel and Gentiles come together (Eph. 2:15 3:6-10, 19).

23I in them [Jewish and Gentile believers], and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me… (Jn. 17:23)

15So as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace… (Eph. 2:15)

Mike Bickle’s Initial Call to the IHOPKC Leadership Team to Embrace the Isaiah 62 Fast (March 6, 2023)
