Tawab Abawi, Director of Trading & Institutional Sales at Agile

Tawab Abawi is a results driven financial professional with over 15 years in the mortgage industry both on the buy and sell side. His analytical and business development skills have helped benefit the bottom line of hundreds of clients from small independent mortgage companies to multi-billion dollar publicly traded organizations.

His expertise in trading whole loans and mortgage-backed securities with and on behalf of Fortune 500 companies have made Tawab a well-respected individual in the mortgage capital markets industry. Tawab holds a Finance degree from Virginia Tech with a concentration in Financial Risk Management.

Chris Maloney, Vice President | Mortgage Strategist at BOK Financial

Chris Maloney is the mortgage strategist for BOK Financial Capital Markets and has over a quarter century of experience in the industry, beginning his career on the NASDAQ trade desk at Prudential Securities. Afterward he managed fixed income portfolios at both Lehman Brothers then Neuberger Berman. 

He most recently was the mortgage strategist for over a decade on the First Word desk at Bloomberg News. He earned his MBA from NYU Stern and is currently working on his second book concerning the creation of the Federal Reserve System.

Ian Lyngen, CFA, Managing Director, Head of US Rates Strategy at BMO Capital Markets

Ian is a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Rates Strategy in the BMO Capital Markets Fixed Income Strategy team. His primary focus is the U.S. Treasury market with specific interests in monetary policy and economic and technical analysis. For a sixth consecutive year, he
achieved first ranking in the 2022 Global Fixed Income Institutional Investor Survey for US Rates Strategy and Technical Analysis, his
fourth consecutive year as number one in Fixed Income Strategy, and a runner-up in Short Duration Strategy. 

Ian joined BMO Capital Markets from CRT Capital Group. At CRT Capital, he was part of an award-winning strategy duo, ranking first in the Institutional Investor Survey’s U.S. Government Bond Strategy category for 11 consecutive years, first in the fixed-income Technical
Analysis category for five consecutive years, and runner-up in the general Fixed-Income Strategy category for seven consecutive years. Prior to CRT Capital, Ian served as Senior Interest Rate Strategist at RBS Greenwich Capital.

Ian earned an MBA from Yale School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Minnesota. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.
