The Campus Loop Shuttles (“Campus Loop 1 & Campus Loop 2, or CL1&2), also known as Weekend Shuttles (Weekend 1 & 2, or WK1 &2), were designed to service passengers on the Storrs campus during breaks and on the weekend. CL1/2 are currently running reduced service due to budget cuts.  Campus Loop 1 and 2 laps alternate between the Campus Loop 1 pattern and the Campus Loop 2 pattern, switching to the different route at Bookstore.  It is important to know what route the shuttle is assigned to when you walk onto the bus if you want to minimize walking on your trip.  However, if you do walk on to the shuttle and it’s assigned to a different campus loop, there will still be bus stops walkable to your destination.

Ongoing Planning and Monitoring: UConn is monitoring this route to see what the best service fit is with the new limited service hours budget (Alternating, Combining, or running Campus Loop 2 with no Campus Loop 1 service).  Currently the new limited service is “Alternating” between Campus Loop 1 & 2.  The “Combining” option would take 70 minutes for a lap to complete, and would combine all the coverage areas of Campus Loop 1 &2.  If you have comments on whether or not service should alternate, combine,  or only run Campus Loop 2, or if you have any other ideas about Campus Loop or Weekend service, please email info@wrtd.org.

Service Hours

The Campus Loop 1 &2 routes run M-F during breaks, and the Weekend 1 &2 routes run Saturday and Sunday throughout the Fall and Spring semesters.  There is no Weekend Shuttle service during Winter and Summer breaks.

Campus Loop 1 & 2 Breaks: 8AM-7PM M-F

Weekend 1&2: Sat 11AM-10PM, Sunday 11AM-7PM
