FHS vs ALS

Tax deductible
Hi, my name is Lily Hall and I am a senior at Friendswood High School! I am planning an ALS fundraiser/ice bucket challenge for October 6th at Henry Winston Stadium. ALS is a progressive disease that attacks the nerve cells of the brain and spinal cord. This causes patients to lose control of their muscles and eventually not be able to walk, speak or even breathe. There is no cure for ALS and the average life expectancy after being diagnosed is two to five years. My Uncle Craig has been suffering from ALS for the past six and a half years and ALS is very close to my heart. When putting together this fundraiser I wanted to include people from various sports and clubs around the high school. There are approximately 30 representatives from various clubs and sports that will eventually get dunked by ice water on the football field. My goal by October 6th is to collect monetary donations from the student body and community to help fund the ALS Association's mission, which is to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest. 100% of the donations will go directly to the ALS Association. Please help me reach my goal. Any size of donation will make a difference!
