For this flower, I thought I'd try with the use of vellum.
I love the transparency and luminous aspects of this versatile and yet inexpensive paper.
I set out to create my own color vellum paper. I took out Altenew Alcohol Markers Refills and inked up the entire sheet of vellum.
In order to give the flowers depth, I created the vellum paper with various shades and colors. Once the vellum paper was dry, I die cut and assembled the Cistus. This is the most enjoying part of this process.
For the leaves, I used Sea Shore Gradient Card Stock. As you can see, I don't always use the exact layers (as the guide) for the leaves and flowers. To me, the variations help adding a touch of artistry and flair.
Next, it is all about the background..... I took out the Simple Frame Stencil
and inked up the one corner. I ink-blended it with

Beautiful flowers with the vellum and I like the background.
Your cistus flowers look bright and almost watery. I also like the dark mistiness of that background with the frame stencil. Very well done.
