Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Lotus Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in Total Prizes)

 Hello friends!

It's time to share another exciting Altenew Paint-A-Flower with you.
We are celebrating this month's Paint-A-Flower Lotus Outline with a blog hop!

If you arrive from the blog of Verity Biddlecombe, you are in the right place.
The ideas, inspiration, details of this hop can be found in Altenew Card Blog.
The outline stamp set features a whimsical image of blooming lotus flowers both under and over water with a unique side view. The stamp also has lots of fun little river details, such as little fishies, coral, and plants. Bubbles of water are scattered throughout to give the appearance of a realistic body of water.

This Lotus Outline image is definitely one-of-a-kind. And that calls for one-of-a-kind approach.

After coloring the image with watercolors, I was not happy with the outcome. I decided to white-emboss the image over vellum and try alcohol ink!!

The detailed lines really show through with the white-embossing. Next, I brought out the Altenew Artist Markers and re-inkers  (linked below) and started coloring.

The coloring is all done on the backside! You can NEVER mess up with coloring like that. 😁

Since it has water, it was easy and fun to create a very fluid look with these alcohol markers. I added more Blending Solution as I went along. The top part, as you can see, has more Blending Solution.

Hope you like this rendition with the Paint-a-Flower.

Really loved the backgrounds on your card, but I should mention that when I hopped over from the previous blog I couldn't see the card for this blog! I had to go back to the original Altenew Blog and click on your name, then when I was directed to your blog, there was the blog card! Not sure what happened, but I'm glad I got to see your card finally. Nice job!
