Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Clematis Josephine Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

 Hello friends!

It's time to share another exciting Altenew Paint-A-Flower with you.
We are celebrating this month's Paint-A-Flower Clematis Josephine with a blog hop!

If you arrive from the blog of Sandhya Iyer, you are in the right place.
If not, come and join the fun hop for ideas and inspiration. You can find all information of this hop over Altenw Card Blog.

It is obviously that Paint- a-Flower is designed for painting and coloring. However, this time, I decided to create without any coloring and paint. As you can see, it can be done! This card has a few elements (highlighted bold and underlined) that you may not have seen it before. I hope you like it!

Altenew-PAF Clematis Josephine-Simple Frame 3D Embossing Folder-Sunset -Red Sunset Gradient Cardstock Set-001

I incorporated a few strips of color paper from Gradient Card Stock. while lining up the color paper, I purposely left a tiny gap in between for extra oomph. I stamped twice with each image (one on white card stock and the other with the color paper on white card stock)

The stamping can be done easily thanks to the stamp-positioner like MISTI. Once I was happy with the stamped images, I secured the strips with adhesive tape.

I then trimmed it to side and then ran it through the die cut machine with Simple Frame 3D Embossing Folder. The subtle dry-embossed border highlights the overall image without overwhelm it.

I then embossed, die cut and popped up the sentiment. I can't help adding more sequins and metallic thread. Finally, this card is complete!

I think this card is much like, you CAN have your cake and eat it, too.
When referring to this card, it means... you don't have to color to get depth, textures and dimensions.
Hope you enjoy this interpretation.

Great share. I like the frame and find it so neat that both pages were able to make it through the folder. I thought it was washi tape instead of cardstock.
