As you can plainly se that this set of violets are truly sweet! Each layer has tons of details.
I decided to use "what I have" in my craft stash. I have Gradient Card Stock (New Purple) and my own DIY ink-sprayed paper.
For the base layer of the violet, I used the New Purple and gradually layered with my own inky paper.
I love the soft pink and purple color mix and thought this worked out really nicely.
For the stems and leaves, I used Gel Plate Pattern Paper. The instant result is absolutely beautiful.
My Takeaway from this project?
Do not be afraid of mixing your own paper. Whether they are your DIY paper or pattern paper, gradient cardstock, have fun assembling your own. As my example shows that it is "not too shabby"!

Absolutely love this card! The pink background is so eye catching and looks lovely with the violet blooms. The splatter used really accentuates the pink background. Love the added touches of the enamel dots and heart.
