About Douglas Psych Nursing and Coquitlam Sunrise Rotary

At the intersection of the COVID, opioid, and mental health crises, the Psychiatric Nursing students of Douglas College are providing outreach, supplies and compassionate whole-person support for our communities’ most vulnerable, amplifying their learning in both the classroom and clinical care time. This initiative, which was recently recognized and celebrated by the United Nations – Vancouver, connects with hundreds of vulnerable community members each year in partnership with local community support organizations.

Proceeds earned from this auction will directly contribute to resourcing this meaningful and impactful student-driven applied learning initiative in our community

The Douglas College Foundation supports the varied needs of our 25,000 learners across BC to help them do what they love, and be good at it. This year has been a pivotal shift in many students’ lives, and we are honoured to continue working to support them as they pursue their goals, and prove just how resilient and hard working Douglas College students are.

The long standing partnership between Douglas College and the Rotary Club of Coquitlam Sunrise has served to rally the support of the community to champion life-changing educational experiences at Douglas College.
