Heitkamp Announces USDA Rural Development Funding for North Dakota

U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp today announced one federal grant of $200,000 for the North Dakota Association of Rural Electric Coops and a federal loan of $1,253,000 for New Salem that will help to support initiatives in rural communities.

“Every morning, I come to work in the U.S. Senate fighting for rural communities,” said Heitkamp. “When communities have the resources to invest in their infrastructure they can make sure their neighborhoods stay strong and safe. That is what these federal dollars will do when they support the ND Association of Rural Electric Coops effort to make investments in rural services and help the city of New Salem repair streets as part of their work to improve water and sewer.”
