May 5th is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People, also known as #RedDressDay. It is a day to remember and honour the thousands of Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit people who have experienced disproportionate rates of violence …in Canada.

Today, International Day of Pink recognizes the commitment and efforts made to standing up against bullying, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, and transmisogyny as well as speaking up against the impacts this hate has that creates discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and …gender expression.

This year’s theme is visibility, which encompasses being seen, acknowledged, respected, and heard.
