RainWise Contractor Spring Training
TRAINING TAKES PLACE OVER TWO WEEKDAY EVENINGS AND ONE SATURDAY MORNING!!

The first class is Monday, 3/11 at 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM and the second on Wednesday 3/13 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.  There is also a mandatory Saturday morning tour from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon 3/16.

RainWise is a program sponsored by the City of Seattle and King County.

With every storm, rain carries pollutants off our roofs, driveways and other hard surfaces to local creeks, Lake Washington and Puget Sound. During big storms, the sheer volume of this stormwater can cause sewer overflows, and erode hillsides and stream banks. RainWise rain gardens and cisterns can help control this runoff with your help.

RainWise is a rebate program that helps eligible property owners manage stormwater by installing rain gardens and/or cisterns on private property. This prevents flooding, adds attractive landscaping, and can provide water for summer irrigation.

The rebates may cover most or all of the cost of installing cisterns and rain gardens on your property. To receive a rebate, you must live in an eligible combined sewer overflow (CSO) basin.

RainWise Contractor Training is the way for contractors to become recognized by the program as being qualified to perform these installations.  Rebates are only given to those installations done by recognized contractors.  Training includes RainWise specifications and how to apply for rebates.

Attendees must attend both sessions and attend the tour of RainWise installations on Saturday morning, 3/16 from 10am to 12pm in order to be able to perform rebate-eligible installations.

RainWise is a fully funded program supported by Seattle Public Utilities and King County.  Some of our RainWise contractors have realized several hundred thousand dollars in revenue over the past few years. In addition to the training, contractors must have a contractor's license with the State of Washington and a business license with the City of Seattle.
