It's been four years since Tre Mission released Stigmata, his acclaimed solo effort that would garner the producer and emcee nominations for some of Canada's most prestigious music prizes include the Juno for Rap Recording of the Year and the Polaris Prize. While he's stayed busy since then—producing for some of the UK's biggest acts; lending his skills behind the boards and on the mic to his group Tizzy Gang; dropping an instrumental EP and bouncing back and forth between London and Toronto—Tre is stepping back into the solo spotlight yet again with a new single, "Hockey," and his return doesn't disappoint.

"Shots will get slapped like hockey / You are too lie, too rappy," Mission bars over the haunting production. It's a strong single after a four-year absence, showcasing Tre's prowess with both production and songwriting as well as his cross-Atlantic influences: a UK-garage-inspired beat for a song named after Canada's national sport is something that perhaps only Tre Mission can pull off this convincingly. The video was directed by Dan Lemoyne who is noted for his work with The Weeknd and 88GLAM.

Take in the video for "Hockey" above and be sure to follow Tre Mission now: The album Orphan Black doesn't have a release date yet but we can assume it will drop sometime in the coming months so be on the lookout.
