Newcastle are interested in Eintracht Frankfurt defender Jetro Willems.
Rafa Benitez is keen to bolster his defensive options in January and in particular the left-back position.
Holland international Willems has been identified as a transfer target and the club are planning to make a move for him in next month's window.

However, the Magpies are facing competition for the full back with Roma also interested in the 24-year-old.
The Italian club are also interested in Crystal Palace star Patrick van Aanholt as they search for a new left back.
Willems only moved to Frankfurt back in August 2017, joining from PSV for a fee believed to be in the region of £4.5million plus add-ons.
The defender has featured regularly for the Bundesliga side this season, playing 19 games in all competitions.
Frankfurt are understood to be reluctant to let him leave next month but may be persuaded if an offer was to be in excess of the initial fee they paid for him last year.
