Pizza is made to be enjoyed as a savory food. It's supposed to be greasy, cheesy, and salty. That's why pineapple on pizza is always a point of contention for people—is it too sweet? Do those tastes belong together?

Lamanna's Bakery in Toronto, Canada, created a pizza that puts the whole pineapple debate to shame. Forget fruit—Lamanna's tops its Hot Cakes slice with a full-fledged breakfast. The enormous slice of 'za appears to be a slice of cheese pizza beneath a layer of strips of bacon. On top of that, there are mini pancakes with small squares of butter. The slice of pizza is drizzled with syrup, too.

I can appreciate a unique food mash-up, but pancakes and bacon atop a slice of cheese pizza just seems unnecessary. Would I try it? Absolutely. Would I enjoy it? I'm sure I would. It just seems that the combination of all the different foods would take away from the flavors each are meant to have. I don't want my pancakes to taste like pizza sauce! I really don't want my pizza crust to be soggy with syrup.

People commenting on the bakery's photo of the pizza seemed very excited to try it, though. One user wrote, "two of my favorite meals in one."Another said, "OMG, I need this in my face now."

We reached out to Lamanna's for more information about the pizza and its availability, and we will update as we hear back. In the meantime, we've got some other great breakfast-for-dinner recipes. Check 'em out!
