I received a police radio call to 18XX East Colgate Street in reference to an animal case.

IP4 is IP1’s son.

Upon arrival, I was flagged down a male subject, later identified as IP2, at the above location. I followed IP2 into the backyard and observed a female, identified as IP1, lying on the ground. I observed severe injuries to IP1’s lower legs in addition to other injuries on her arms and neck. IP1 was conscious and but had trouble speaking.

EMS arrived on scene and transported IP1 to Covenant Medical Center.

I made contact with IP2 who advised he had just arrived home. IP2 advised he was told by a neighbor that his dogs were loose and running around.

IP2 advised he went into the alley in an attempt to find his dogs. IP2 advised he heard IP1 screaming for help and saw through a fence his five dogs attacking IP1. IP2 advised he jumped into the yard to help IP1. IP2 advised the dogs started charging him but stopped before getting to him. IP2 advised the dogs fled the yard eastbound. IP2 advised he called 911.

IP2 returned to his residence and observed the dogs in his backyard. IP3 arrived on scene for animal control and took custody of IP2’s dogs. IP3 transported the dogs to the animal shelter. Ofc. Tucker arrived at the animal shelter to photograph the dogs as a CSO.

Ofc. Garcia went to Covenant Medical Center as a CSO to photograph IP1 and returned to 18XX East Colgate Street to photograph IP1’s backyard.
