Public documents reveal that yet another financial controversy has emerged in connection with Gov. Rick Scott, according to a Tampa Bay Times story.

The article highlights Scott’s financial ties to a vendor operating Florida’s  SunPass toll-collection system.

“Scott’s financial link to the SunPass vendor is at least the seventh reported example of the wealthy governor’s personal investments in corporations that do business with or are regulated by the state he governs,” the story states.
Meanwhile, Scott keeps getting richer.

“Scott, a wealthy former hospital executive, saw his net worth skyrocket in 2017 by more than $83 million to more than $232 million — a 55 percent increase over the previous year,” the news story states.

The Republican governor is competing for a U.S. Senate seat, hoping to unseat incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson in the Nov. 6 election.
