Hello Everyone,
Field Trip is doing an EPIC fundraiser for our program and we need your help.
So this campaign first started out as a fundraiser for this NY trip we did for a few students from Dyett HS for the Arts. After we put the campaign up we didn't get much reception and our feedback suggests that supporters prefer to donate to our other programming that reaches more students. So our response was to fund the trip on our own but still provide you an opportunity to contribute to our general programing.
What we do as an organization is provide access to art for elementary and high school students who are from and attend schools in low income communities. We're doing this because in such communities there isn't a lot of access to art or individuals who work as professional creatives. We believe exposure is an important part of education and introducing students to professionals who work in creative fields helps make a whole world of careers even more tangible and attainable. The feedback we have gotten from the community, the schools and the students is that our program is impactful and makes a real difference. We really want to continue to do this work in the future, fund raisers like this and people like you make that possible. Thank You .
If you fund our campaign your money will go toward producing more field trips to art institutions followed by panel discussions where they get to interact with industry experts, artist studio visits and creative workshops where students get to express themselves creating work of their own.
We've set a goal of $3,500 to help cover costs associated with future local field trips and practical programming in Chicago. Our goal is to end this campaign on July 31st but don't delay
We have a gift that we’d like to offer for donations of $65 (Updated from $100) or greater. Field Trip co-founder and artist Brandon Breaux has designed a t-shirt to commemorate our New York trip which was centered around visiting the feature exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum 'David Bowie Is'.
