LEGAL FUND FOR THE VICTIMS OF NOTORIOUS SERIAL KILLER CATHERINE MAY WOOD.

Help Victims Families Fight to Keep a Convicted Serial Killer Behind Bars

The Michigan Department of Corrections is about to release one of the world’s most notorious serial killers on ‘good behavior’.  In 1987 Catherine May Wood and her girlfriend brutally murdered 5 elderly women for "sexual gratification" as part of a sick ‘love & death pact’.   The State of Michigan wants to let Catherine Wood out of prison.  The families of her victims are fighting her release.

UPDATE 2-26-2019
Our attorneys have notified us that we must have until March 14, 2019 to submit our brief on why convicted serial killer Catherine May Wood should remain in prison.
WE NEED YOUR HELP RIGHT NOW TO HIRE THE CRIMINAL PSYCHOLOGISTS AND PROFESSIONALS NECESSARY TO STOP THIS SERIAL KILLER FROM BEING RELEASED EARLY FROM PRISON.
The full hearing, including testimony from the victims families and Wood herself can be viewed here:  (Testimony begins at the 16:20 minute mark with a summary by the victims family, followed by comments from the investigator who helped break the original case, then testimony from the victims families and the murderer herself.) https://www.facebook.com/woodtv/videos/225044785060859/

We need your help to keep Catherine May Wood in prison where she belongs.  Our attorney tells us that we have a decent shot at winning, but it’s going to be expensive.  None of us are wealthy; we are folks just like you – except we already know what it is like to lose a loved one to a brutal serial killer – and we are trying desperately to keep it from happening to you.

Shockingly, news reports indicate that only two members of the parole board reviewed Wood's case, and neither even bothered to meet with Wood before deciding that she deserved early release for her 'good behavior in prison'.
Ted Bundy, murderer of 30, was a 'model prisoner' too; but it didn't change the fact that he was too dangerous to be freed.

In order to appeal the obviously wrongful decision to offer Wood early parole, the victims’ families must pay professional criminal psychologists, court costs, expert witnesses, and more, just to compel the State of Michigan to protect people from this sick, twisted, cold blooded mass murderer.

Any expert will tell you - serial killers NEVER get reformed – they ALWAYS KILL AGAIN.

Please, we the families of Catherine Wood’s victims beg you to help us offset all the legal costs we are about to incur to keep this sadistic killer off the streets.

It is bad enough that Wood has been made famous by several best- selling books, documentaries, multiple cable television interviews and even a feature story in Rolling Stone.  Her crimes are so heinous the she has been featured in a recent ‘American Horror Story’ episode and even has an upcoming Hollywood blockbuster film in the works; but the Michigan Department of Corrections wants to release her from prison early, at the age of just 56, free to kill and maim again.

Wood is in prison for now, but she will be released before the end of the year if we do not get her parole repealed.

Please.  Help us stop the early release of Catherine May Wood.  Donate today.

The families of Belle Burkard, Edith Cook, Marguerite Chambers and Mae Mason thank you from the bottoms of our heart.

Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker Chooses NOT to Fight Convicted Serial Murderer's Early Release from Prison

We were pretty disappointed to learn today that Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker, who has the power to fight Catherine May Wood's early release from prison, has decided NOT to help.  We families remain undaunted and will continue to fight with or without Mr. Becker, because serial killers cannot be reformed. UPDATE 10-23-2018:
Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette Delivers Scathing Letter to the Court and Parole Board OPPOSING Wood's Early Release from Prison

We families hope and resolve was restored today, as Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette delivered a scathing letter to the court, the Michigan Department of Corrections and the Parole Board opposing Wood's early release from prison.  We are hopeful the Attorney General's opposition will convince the Judge to let our appeal move forward and ultimately keep Wood in prison.
