Annie Douglass Lima considers herself fortunate to have traveled in twenty different countries and lived in four of them. A fifth-grade teacher in her “other” life, she loves reading to her students and sparking their imaginations. Her books include science fiction, fantasy, YA action and adventure novels, a puppet script, poetry, a Bible verse coloring and activity book, and a cookbook. When she isn’t teaching or writing, Annie can often be found sipping spiced chai or pomegranate green tea in exotic locations, some of which exist in this world.

I'm working on King of Malorn right now. It takes place five years after the original trilogy, and brings back Jaymin, Erik, Korram, and a new main character, Korram's sister Kalendria. Anya shows up in a smaller role, and Dannel and a few other old friends will be there too. I hope to have it ready for publication by the end of 2015, but my day job (teaching 5th grade) has been taking more of my mental energy than usual this year, so it's possible it won't be done till next spring.

In the meantime, do you know about Annals of Alasia: the Collected Interviews? It's a little companion book that is available for free on Amazon and Goodreads. It might be a fun way to get to know some of the characters better.

Thanks for asking! I'm so glad you're enjoying the series!(less)
