Fate hands me an opportunity to reconnect with my perfect girl, giving me one glorious night with Clio Barnes. Our chemistry is off the charts. Too bad fate plays by her own rules. When Clio hears my bandmate's idea of a joke, she believes I've used her, dissolved our love into a one-night stand, and she blows out of my life. When our tour ends, I'm determined to find her again, no matter how well she hides from me.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Everything about this book called to me. The cover, it features a musician, and it’s a second chance romance. The author may have new to me, but it didn’t matter. I am always on the lookout for new authors.

Play For Me by Tam Derudder Jackson is the first book in the Balefire series. It introduces Jack Whitehorse and Clio Barnes. Jack and Clio were high school sweethearts. Clio was Jack’s world, and the only thing that came close was his love of music. Clio’s parents didn’t approve of their relationship. Therefore, to remove him from her life, Clio’s father offered Jack what he thought was the opportunity of a lifetime. Naively Jack accepted and in doing so unwitting pushed Clio from his life.Fast forward five years later Jack is the drummer for Balefire, one of the hottest bands in the country. Despite achieving his dream, he felt incomplete, as the girl who owned his heart was not by his side. Can he convince her to give him a second chance?Despite its predictably, I enjoyed the story and spending time with some characters. I say some, because they were a few I found contemptible, for instance, Clio’s parents. Anyway, let me not digress.

Jack and Clio made a great couple. However, their biggest issue lay in their failure to communicate. I could emphatise with them as teenagers, but as adults I wanted to shake them a time or two. Jack had every opportunity to come clean about his reason for walking away five years ago, and he never did. Don’t get me started with Clio aargh! I am happy to report they eventually got it right after much pulling of teeth. Now, although they both exasperated me with their failure to communicate, I loved how much they grew throughout the story. Clio learned to stand on her own and accomplish so much without her parents’ financial backing. It helped that she had the support of her friends.Jack’s willingness to step up and take responsibility for his past  actions proved how much he grew throughout the story. The story moved quickly and was an easy read. I finished in less than a day. It ended on a heart-warming note which had me smiling, and I have to admit, brought a teeny bit of tears to my eyes.

Conclusion/Recommendation

Play for Me shows how important a role communication plays in the success of any relationship. It’s a story of betrayal, lies, secrets, discrimination and, most of all, love. Overall, an ok read and perfect for readers looking for a light read. This review was originally posted on Totally Addicted to Reading

ARC received for review

I read and enjoyed Ms. Jackson's paranormal Talisman series, so I decided to see what she could do with a rock band.

I enjoyed Jack and Clio's journey, but at times there was too much silence between them. Clio would let that silence grow too big in her head. When they were together, it was beautiful and hot. Loved the band mates and her friends. Her parents were a real piece of work, and there was no real resolution to the drama with them.

This is a story about Jack and Clio. It's a second-chance romance. I enjoyed the beginning of the story and how Jack was not ashamed to admit that he loves Clio. So I had many expectations from the story and I would see the potential to achieve those. But sadly halfway through the story, I started to see many plot holes and left scratching my head about certain actions done by the characters.

I did enjoy the scenes with the baby and how h's friends were so supportive of her. Overall it was an okay read.

Thank you NetGalley for providing the ARC of this story! ❤🙏🏾

Thank you Tam DeRudder Jackson, NetGalley and WarriorRomancePress for providing this eARC in exchange for an honest review!

Play For Me by Tam DeRudder Jackson is a sweet and sexy adult contemporary romance following a five year love story. Blinded by the opportunity at making it big in a rock band, Jack Whitehorse mistakenly signs away his chances with Clio Barnes. The two meet throughout the years in alternating POV chapters ending with a solid HEA.

I’m a sucker for tattooed rock stars and this hit the spot. Jack is loyal to a fault and Clio just wants to feel genuine love and trust from those around her. While some bits were sappy and some dialogue cliché, isn't that part of the reason we read romance? This reminded me of the movie Forever My Girl (based on the novel by Heidi McLaughlin I never read) but rock instead of country. I also loved the inclusion of a playlist at the end of the novel! This is the first book in the Balefire Series and I look forward to meeting the rest of the band members in future books.

Play For Me, The Balefire Series Book One, Tam DeRudder Jackson

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
Romance
Genre: romance, general fiction

Well, rock/film star romance is my catnip – but there's an awful lots of it around and much is just No, No, No for me so I'm cautious. However this was a fun read and I enjoyed it, but sadly it lacked the magic spark to make it into a great read for me.

I liked Clio and her friends, they were very clearly written, I could feel the bond between them.
Jack and the band though? They should have been such a big part of the story but I felt they were lacking, too one dimensional in the case of Jack, and the band barely featured and yet it was such an important part of Jack's life. Without the band its just another romance with a guy who puts his career first it feels.
I enjoyed her parents role, felt very real – until the end. That didn't fit for me.

I would have liked more about the actual pregnancy, her struggles to decide what to do. More about Jack as a father, more about his heritage, otherwise why mention it?
I was really confused that Clio didn't get more upset about the events towards the end of the novel when Jack's away, I'd have been far less forgiving that he just seemed to drop everything. Who can't find time for at least a daily text? I felt Clio had been so strong til then and she just rolled over. “ Oh, you were away doing important manly stuff of course, its fine, I'll just mind the baby, sort out finances, deal with work on my own” - that's how I felt her reaction was, like a caricature of a 50's housewife. Or maybe I'm just too judgmental ;-)

The novel had so much potential, a good story line with the separation of her and Jack and the angst that caused, the support of her friends and her struggles to cope, her parents and the pregnancy issues, but I just felt that it needed a bit more edge for me. But of course others don't need that, will love it as is. Horses for courses.

Stars: Three and a half, its a fun read but I wanted more edge from it.

3.5 stars-3.5 stars--PLAY FOR ME is the first instalment in Tam DeRudder Jackson’s contemporary, new adult BALEFIRE erotic, romance series focusing on the members of the rock band Balefire. This is Balefire drummer Jack Whitehorse, and nursing student Clio Barnes’ story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Clio and Jack) PLAY FOR ME follows the second chance romance between Balefire drummer Jack Whitehorse, and nursing student Clio Barnes. At the age of eighteen, Jack Whitehorse found himself at a crossroads when he signed away his life for a future as a drummer with the bank Rude Awakening but it was Jack who got the rude awakening when he discovered the fine print forced his hand, walking away from the girl that he loved. Fast forward two years wherein Jack, now the drummer for the band Balefire, would come face to face with his past, Clio Barnes, but the possibility of reconciliation and a future together evaporated with a phone call, and the woman he loved, walking away. Another year would pass before Jack would walk back into Clio’s life, a life now changed by the arrival of their daughter, a child he knew nothing about but his attempts at normalcy are destroyed when the band heads out on the road leaving behind the woman he loves. Months would pass without contact until Clio is threatened with the loss of everyone she loves.

The relationship between Clio and Jack is a rekindling romance, a romance destroyed by discrimination and threats, secrets and lies, and a total lack of communication. Months and years would pass before Jack had any contact with the woman he loved, then months would pass again, before he dropped back into her life. Clio, desperate for the affection and approval of the man that she loved would forgive and forget, then find herself alone, once again. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Clio’s friends Annabelle Bailey Saunders, and Stacy Newhouse; the members of the band Balefire: Blu Connolly, Adam Tron, and Dakota Perri, as well as Clio’s parents Harrison and Meredith Barnes. Blu Connolly’s story is next in SING FOR ME.

PLAY FOR ME is a story of family, betrayal, secrets and lies; a story of lack of communication, forgiveness, love and happily ever after. The character driven premise is fast paced, engaging and emotional; the romance is seductive but heart breaking; the characters are stubborn and energetic but I struggled with Jack’s numerous absences in our heroine’s life. Jack never once contacted Clio while out on tour, leaving her to raise their daughter on her own, knowing full well she had no familial or financial support. No phone calls, no emails, no text messages, no help…this is not the epitome of a man in love but a man so consumed by stardom and music, he ‘forgets’ about his child, his woman, and his responsibilities at home-definitely not a hero worthy of a second chance. I love the premise but I disliked the actions of Jack Whitehorse.

Jack Whitehorse is the talented drummer of international rock band Balefire. His career began when he signed a deal with the devil; his girlfriend Clio’s father, who ensured the fine print of Jack’s contract included a clause for him to stay away from Clio. Fast forward 5 years later to their reunion at a concert, where one hot and steamy night leaves Clio more broken hearted than ever.

As the first in the Balefire series, Play for Me is a solid start. The classic miscommunication trope kicks the story off with Jack keeping the secret of Clio’s father’s manipulation all to himself, allowing Clio to believe he chose music over her. In all fairness, he did choose music over her, and continued to do so even when he learned about Angel. At times Jack displayed great maturity, but at others lacked accountability; an example being when he left Clio and Angel behind to spend months recording, and used ‘being in the zone’ as an excuse for barely contacting Clio.

Clio vacillates between maturity too. She steps up when her parents kick her out, and learns to stand on her own two feet by securing a job and accommodation, but after Jack moves in for a few weeks, sticks to her like glue, and then disappears for months, she rolls over way to easy when he comes home waving the ‘in the zone’ excuse for not contacting her. After all she’d been through by herself, I wanted her to be more annoyed with him, and let him know it wasn’t good enough.

I finished the book wishing I had more backstory on Jack’s heritage, and more band scenes that weren’t just the after-party shenanigans. I’m guessing the subsequent books will build on these, and hopefully give more insight into the relationship dynamics between the band members.

Overall I enjoyed this book and read it in three sittings. The attraction between Jack and Clio is fun to read, and I enjoyed how Clio fought her way to independence with the help of her friends. For fans of the rockstar, miscommunication, and second chance romance tropes, Play for Me ticks all the boxes!

*I was kindly sent this in exchange for an honest review via Netgalley*

This book was meh. It wasn't bad but it also didn't blow me away. Usually, I am very opinionated when it comes to a book. But with this, I finished it a couple of hours ago now and it's not really impacted me at all. It's not bad enough to insight rage or anger towards it but also it wasn't anything special that made me enjoy it necessarily.
I am a lover of band romances or music in a plot in general so the fact this left me feeling so bland was a real disappointment. I definitely think this had promise. The writing was enjoyable and had some funny moments. The friendships between Clio and her sorority girls were well-written and relatable. The romance was sweet with the occasional spicy bit to mix it up which I enjoyed. The plot would have been more enjoyable if it wasn't all spelled out in the blurb. Nearly the entire plot was given away in the blurb and it took away from some of the excitement and anticipation of their intermittent reunions when the blurb tells you it happens.
The characters themselves didn't really blow me away either. They were quite flat but also not so dull or irritating that I found them hard to read. They just felt like they lacked depth in the way that nothing existed outwith the main plot devices. I wish we just had some quirky scenes of them just being them, especially in Clio's case because so much of her development and story hinged on the fact her parents never "liked her for her", but it's hard to appreciate that plotline when as the reader we don't feel like we know her very well either.
So overall, you can probably tell this wasn't a great read in my opinion, but also it wasn't terrible. If you have a spare day and want a rockband-based romance, I would pick this up but it probably won't blow you away or change your life - but it might brighten your day.

There is a lot of great potential in this book but it doesn’t quite hit the mark.

This is a second chance, accidental pregnancy romance about Jack, a drummer for a famous rock band, and Clio, a college studying to become a nurse. Jack and Clio dated in high school but circumstances separated them, but when they are reunited fire years later, sparks fly.

Overall, the storytelling, steam, and Clio as a character really work in this book. Clio is much more fleshed out than Jack and it is great to see her grow into herself. Jack is much more one dimensional. We don’t get much from him besides that he is convinced he in love with Clio and he plays music. There are also some pacing issues. A scene will suddenly jump forward in time or there will be an overly long description of the setting that throws things off. This book is frustrating because the writing and story are there, but we needed a little more – We also know that Jack is half-Native American, but his identity and how that might affect him is largely ignored. Unfortunately this lack of connection with the characters and the final act of the book left me unsatisfied. I found myself extremely angry with Jack and didn’t feel like his apology or explanation justified his behavior and I didn't invest in their HEA.

Overall, this rock star romance had a lot of potential but it didn’t quite get there.

From the moment Jack met Clio in high school he knew he wanted to be with her forever, she was everything he wanted. Well, that and a music career. So, when he was offered the chance of a lifetime, an opportunity to play drums professionally in a band he jumped at the chance, and signed on the dotted line. Not realizing that his dream to play would cost him the girl he wanted for always. Being with her was now forbidden, so he did the only thing he could do and walked away.

But he never stopped thinking about her...

Play for Me is a sweet second chance romance story that comes brimming with feels to touch the heart and drama to keep you captivated. These two have been apart for a few years, due to circumstances out of their control, but the time away hasn't seemed to dampen the feelings they once shared. All this time Clio thought that Jack chose his music career over her, but that wasn't the case at all.

Now they are given a second chance to correct the wrongs made in the past, and they don't plan on letting anything stand in their way this go around. I loved watching these two reconnect and relearn one another, the passion they share burned brightly throughout, and their love and genuine care for one another was easily felt. I really enjoyed this first time read, the characters drew me in from the first page and kept me thoroughly captivated until the last! Highly recommend!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

I like this book but I think I might be in here minority here about my review. I loved Jack I thought he was awesome besides the crap hand he was dealt from Harrison and Clio. Granted he needed to grow up but he didn’t have ten months to make plans that would work for him and his new family. You might say how did Clio deal him a crap hand. Well first she walks out on him and cuts off all ways he could communicate with her. Then she didn’t plan to tell him that she was pregnant despite what she said that was not in any of her thought processes I read because of she had planned to tell him then their daughter would have had his last name. Finally she knows he’s a musician in a successful band but she’s doesn’t meet him halfway to work on their relationship oh no he has to make all the efforts even though she blocks him by wanting to maintain her “independence” and because she doesn’t want to be in the spotlight. Also nowhere in the book did I see where she explained Angel’s last name.my point in my rant his I loved Jack but Clio I didn’t like her at all. I thought she was selfish, whiny, and wouldn’t know how to communicate her way out of a paper bag. My biggest peeve in books is when the girl can and is in the wrong but it’s never addressed and she never called out in it but the guy oh he gets attitude and jump through hopes for her affection

Clio and Jack were forced apart by her meddling father who thought Jack was not good enough for her. Although Jack would have loved to fight for her and their relationship, he could not do this because he had signed on for a chance at chasing his dream not knowing that it also meant he had to give up the girl of his dreams.

I loved that the story was written from the perspective of the two characters as we are able to understand what they were both thinking and feeling at different stages but Jack's character disappointed me in some ways because I feel like he simply did not try hard enough. He had the resources to try harder to connect with Clio, to find her and make things right sooner than he did. Considering how much her absence affects him and how his love for her is portrayed I didn't really feel it in some of his actions.

The story was really easy to read and I breezed through the pages, I loved Clio's strength but was a bit annoyed that she was never really 100% transparent with her best friends (who she also sees as her sisters). They had proven that they had her back and were always there for her so I did not understand her reluctance to share important information with them.

I received this book from NetGalley, and it is the ultimate miscommunication read.

If miscommunication is your favorite trope, this is your book. It follow the story of high school sweethearts, Clio, a rich girl that always wanted to be seen and loved, and Jack, a poor boy that dreamed of playing his music for millions. Jack gets the opportunity of a lifetime for an audition with a popular local band but the contract he gets from Clio's father (that he signs without reading) comes with strings attached. One, Jack can't contact/talk to Clio for two years, and two, if he does, Clio's father will destroy Jack's dad's business. So the main storyline stims around the fact that he can't even break up with the girl and tell her why, so both are confused and think the other hates them.

Years later they have a reunion, and like any sweet romance she saved herself for him only to get immediately pregnant and think he's seeing other women. Surprisingly not a spoiler, as it's written on the book description.

I personally find miscommunication frustrating, so this was a difficult read for me. However, the characters are sweet and you hope for the best for them.

Play For Me: The Balefire Series: Book One by Tam DeRudder Jackson
Publisher: Warrior Romance Press
Genre: General Fiction (Adult) | Romance
Publication Date: May 27, 2021

Play For Me is the first book in The Balefire Series by Tam DeRudder Jackson. This is the first book I've read by the author, but it won't be the last.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought the characters were really interesting and the story was good. I really got drawn into it. Then the book ended and jumped into an epilogue that left so many questions unanswered. I'm hoping the next book, Sing For Me, which features a different band member, will provide some updates (fingers crossed!).

I look forward to reading the next book which is set to release in August 2021. I recommend reading Play For Me if you enjoy a quick, steamy romance novel with an interesting story line.

I'm so grateful to Tam DeRudder Jackson, Warrior Romance Press, and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.

A wonderful second chance romance full of so much emotion and a never ending amount of heart. I couldn't get enough of this book and these characters. I loved the dynamic between Jack and his Balefire band mates even though Dakota did cause some issues trying to be funny. The same goes for Clio and her friendship with Annabelle and Stacy. They are truly an amazing trio.

I loved how Clio and Jack always found their way back to each other even after everything bad or complicated happened between them. Their love for each other and their daughter is beyond powerful and it will last a life time.

I do wish there would have been moments written into the book that readers would have seen. For example more of the day Clio gave birth, when the band meet Clio and Angel, and when Clio and Angel meet Jack's family.

For anyone that love second chance romance, a surprise baby, rockstars, amazing friendships, emotional rollercoasters, and beyond cute and wholesome endings you should definitely check out this book.

First book in a outstanding new series!! I knew it was gonna be good but I didn’t know I would be going on a emotional roller coaster. This is a beautiful second chance love story.

Jack Whitehorse is living his dream but in the process it cost him the only girl he ever loved. As the drummer of Balefire one of the most suspenseful rock bands around he is now gonna do anything it takes to get her back into his life.

You were everything I ever wanted. You were everything I ever needed. But I let my dreams get in the way.

You were everything I ever wanted. You were everything I ever needed. Such a damn high price to pay.

Clio Barnes don’t know why Jack did what he did. It broke her but she’s never got over the teen who stole her heart.
Obstacles are thrown in there way at every turn but true love will always find a way.

I’m crazy about you, Clio. Please don’t give up on us, babe.

I highly recommend this or any other book by Tam Derudder Jackson. On to the next!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this second chance romance with a rockstar theme and I'm thrilled that book 2 in the series is due out in the next few months.

Only child Clio has been a disappointment to her controlling parents ever since she was born a girl. When she starts dating and going to the prom with Jack, who according to her parents Meredith and Harrison have got the wrong surname and heritage, they quickly step in to put an end to the relationship. Harrison tricks Jack into signing a contract to go on tour with a rock band which in the small print stipulates that he must immediately sever all ties with Clio or risk the success of Jack's father's construction business.

Clio and Jack are both struggling emotionally during the years that follow; but as in all good romance stories there is a happy ending; after quite a few twists and turns.

The storyline of the first installment in this series is an emotional rollercoaster. It's a second chance romance that is full of obstacles at every possible turn.

Jack is the drummer of a famous band. To get there, he is tricked into signing away what is most valuable to him. He is cornered and has no way of explaining his behaviour. Clio doesn't understand why he has suddenly changed. Five years later, they reconnect and even then, things go wrong after they think that all will be well. He is now back, but can she trust him?

Clio's friends are very supportive. Her parents are pathetic. I would have liked to have seen a little more interactions between the band members. Jack and Clio are well portrayed. In the end love prevails.

I received an eARC from Netgalley and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

I love this series. I started with book 3 and have read 3 and 4 now and finally got back to book 1.

This series is about the band Balefire and their love interests. In this book Clio and Jack met in high school. Clio's father manipulates Jack to agree to never see her again, and he breaks up with her with no notice. He tries to get back in touch with her and they finally reconnect 5 years later.

Tropes for this one: surprise pregnancy, second chance, strong female lead

The story is them getting back together and Clio learning to be self sufficient when her parents disown her because she gets pregnant and has the baby (!!!) They've always been in love but had to get through some minor misunderstandings.

I loved this book so much I think I'm going ro re-read 3 and 4. I just heard 5 will be the last book in the series and I am not happy :(

There is so much packed into this book that it soon gets too much and the story therefore seems rushed. Elements that warrant deeper examination (like Clio's pregnancy without the love of her life, the relationship with her parents, and Jack's connection with the band) get neglected in favor of banter and lengthy descriptions of fashion attire. Both of which bring nothing to the story. I'd prefer a deeper character development rather than description of mundane props.
The story line is great and has so much potential, but there are too many missed opportunities to make a pleasant read into an unforgettable story.
Shame, because the author can clearly write.
Recommended for readers looking for a quick, entertaining read.

I enjoyed this book a lot. The premise of the book intrigued me from the start. Clio and Jack have been drawn to each other from the start in high school. She comes from the richer area of town, and her parents want her to be with someone they approve of. Jack is looking to further his career in his band that he’s about to sign with and they are torn apart. 5 years later after reuniting they are blessed with a surprise. Obstacles after obstacles are in the way of these two. I really enjoyed this book and was pleasantly surprised that this is going to be a series as they have great background characters that I would enjoy learning about more. I will definitely check out this author in future as this was the first book by her. I would definitely recommend this book.

Falling From The First Kiss

They met in high school and from the first kiss nothing is ever the same again. This is a first love, second chance, and rock star romance. With a dual POV, this love story is driven by a man with one goal in sight, her. While many stories are driven by the circumstances thrown at the main couple, this one is about making the girl his every step of the way.

That's not to say her story doesn't matter, because it does. She's the one who has to leap over many obstacles to finally get her HEA. There is some spice, and I can feel the romance underlying it all. She is strong and learns how to fight her way through life while protecting everyone in her world. It's and easy and great read. Enjoy.

This fine rock star romance will make your blood sizzle and your heart sing.
If you are into second chance/misunderstanding/secret baby tropes and romantic love stories featuring hot rock stars, then this one should definitely go on your tbr-pile!
After Jack agrees to forfeit a relationship with Clio in exchange for his band's success, the couple break up.
Years later, Balefire are international superstars, and the couple's second chance at getting things right will take you on a nailbiting, emotional rollercoaster ride.
I devoured this quick, fun read in one sitting and then I wanted more. Luckily for me, there are more books available in the Balefire Series. Rock on!

Like the story

I like the idea of the romance but the guy didn't really look too hard for her. There was bound to be people from school that knew where she went or hire an investigator. At times he says the right things and then does stupid things. On the road he ignores her and I find it hard to believe that they are on the road that fast while doing a recording. It started out interesting but she gave in way too fast considering how he treats her like she's not first in his life. Felt more like music was. It was nice to end it with a wedding but never did see what happened when they all met. Hope to see more of this couple in the rest of the books.

This is my first Tam DeRudder Jackson book and I loved it! This book was well written and had me entranced immediately! This book is a perfect intro to mature books which is why I recommend this book to anyone 18+ who is looking to get into more mature and intimate books (if you know what I mean)
This book features clear time jumps that aren’t confusing and are impressively written. The author stays true to the characters beliefs and how they evolve throughout the story.
Jack and Clio are meant for each other and it’s made very clear very fast that Jack will do anything to get his girl.

2.5 stars

It's well written and the characters are likeable. I love a second chance romance but the story is stupid.

I just find this virgin waiting storyline so ridiculous but if you do believe in it why is she giving it up within an hour of meeting him? Without any real explanation or effort. That's even dumber.

I didnt believe he was celibate for 3 years as a rock star. And why after all this time was she pining for him? Urgh

I received an Arc from netgalley in return for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for giving me access to an e-arc of this book in exchange of my honest opinion !
I really enjoyed this book ! More than I thought I would. There was drama, sexy-time, romance and even more drama. While I like a good romance I hate it when everything is easy and perfect and everyone love each other. When I read romance books I want Drama with a capital D and this book delivered.
I was hooked and read it in one sitting. I will definitely check other books by this author.

This is a second chance rock star romance. It takes place a few years after high school. Jack and Clio haven't seen each other and their break up wasn't an easy one for either of them. Jack is now a hot shot drummer and Clio is in her third year of college. Convinced to attended a Balefire concert by one of her best friends Clio doesn't realize she will be coming face to face with Jack, the boy she never could get over. I really enjoyed this book in the beginning it really caught my attention and i was cheering for Jack, I did feel that it did drag a bit towards the middle and didn't think it needed to be as long as it was. Although all around i liked the story line and the big surprise that takes place. I also liked the way Clio handled the situation with her parents. All in All I give this book a 4 star review and will definitely continue on with the series.
