Hello Crafty friends, A very Happy New Year to all!!! I am so excited to be part of this new Altenew, Build -A -Flower Cora Louise Peony stamp release blog hop. This blog hop is packed with many artist, which means tons of inspirations as you hop along. A perfect way to start a new yea don't you think? So grab your favorite drink snuggle up near a fire place, a window or a cozy corner and get ready to be inspired. If you are hoping along then you must be coming from the talented Tina Smith's Post. I have the blog order at the bottom of the page for your reference. Also there is an amazing GIVEAWAY by Altenew , details about it at the bottom of this post.

The Cora Louise Peony Stamp set is a layering stamp set. Wether you love to color or not this is a perfect stamp. If you have been following me, you know how much I enjoy coloring, so I chose to go with metallic watercoloring using Altenew Metallic watercolor paints.

Step by step instruction :

  • Stamp the large floral images and the leaves from the stamp set onto a watercolor cardstock and gold heat emboss them.

  • Color the images using Altenew Metallic Watercolor paints

  • When the images are dry, die cut them using the Cora Louise Peony coordinating die

  • For the background, on a back cardstock using the embossing ink pad stencil in using the Deco Wallpaper Stencil.

  • Heat emboss it using gold embossing powder

  • Add a blue metallic paint very loosely in and around the embossed stencil

  • When the background is dry adhere the flowers and the leaves in any composition you desire using foam adhesive.

  • Splatter the entire panel with pearl/white paint.

  • Stamp and emboss the sentiment with gold embossing powder on a white cardstock and adhere it to the panel

  • I added some crystal gems around the flowers and adhered the finished panel on a white top folding notecard.

This card was very easy to create and the end result is very dramatic which Is what I love. Hop along to see what other designers have made and leave them each some love. Next stop on your hop from here is the very creative Svitlana Shayevich.

I wish you all a very creative and the very best for the new year!!! Love you tons!!
