For the hop projects, I am featuring the Gradient Cardstocks from this release. There are four color palettes in this release called, Red Sunset, Rose Petal, New Purple and Coffee Break.Each palette has four coordinating colors of cardstocks which makes it very easy to use with the any of the Altenew Craft A flower Layering Dies. My Projects today are inspired by the Avant- Garde style. I am always looking for new ways to change or step up my style of card making. I don't have any specific style that I relate myself to, but I definitely am a very eclectic designer.
For my first card I chose to this gown design with an Ombre textured skirt.
I stamped and embossed the Hydrangeas from the Paint A Flower Hydrangea set on the New Purple Gradient Cardstock Palette using Silver Embossing powde multiple times. I then fussy cut each of the hydrangea blooms and adhered them from the darkest to lightest using some foam and liquid adhesives.
I created a frame with white cardstock using two rectangle dies to frame the ombre florals.
For my second card I was inspired by this very bold and bright dress.
I chose the Watercolor Garden Layering set as this set had some really large bold flowers. I die cut the flowers and the stamens using the Rose Petal, Red Sunset and Coffee Break gradient card stocks. I also die cut the leaves with a green card stock from my stash. I added black ink to the edge of the flowers and the leaves.
For the background I cut strips of cardstocks from the Red sunset Palette and adhered them to a white notecard from dark to light. I also die cut the Grid Cover die in white to lay over the Red Sunset background.
