Claire McCaskill stopped in Springfield to campaign for her re-election to the U.S. Senate.

The Democratic senator spoke at the Teamsters Union Hall. She addressed health care, workers rights and the need for campaign finance reform. McCaskill says she believes it's vital to pass a law that prevents corporations and foreign governments from concealing money they contribute to political campaigns.

"I think most americans believe very strongly no matter if you're a Democrat or Republican that at a minimum people ought to know who's paying for these ads," said McCaskill.

McCaskill supports a bill known as the Disclose Act, but says that so far it has not come up for a vote.

McCaskill faces off against Republican Josh Hawley in the general election November 6.
