(LifeSiteNews) — A public declaration in support of giving doctors the freedom to administer early treatments for COVID without interference from government authorities has gained over 11,000 signatures from doctors and medical scientists, up from 4,000 just a few weeks ago. The declaration was drafted in response to widespread suppression of effective and safe COVID early treatments which many physicians state could have prevented up to 85% of all COVID deaths and injuries.
The Physicians Declaration Global COVID Summit from Rome, or “Rome Declaration,” has 11,100 signatures as of October 7.
The signatories agree that “the physician-patient relationship must be restored. The very heart of medicine is this relationship, which allows physicians to best understand their patients and their illnesses, to formulate treatments that give the best chance for success, while the patient is an active participant in their care.”
It further resolved that doctors must be free to help their patients make decisions about potentially life-saving COVID treatments.
The declaration said “the political intrusion into the practice of medicine and the physician/patient relationship must end.”
“Physicians, and all health care providers, must be free to practice the art and science of medicine without fear of retribution, censorship, slander, or disciplinary action, including possible loss of licensure and hospital privileges, loss of insurance contracts and interference from government entities and organizations – which further prevent us from caring for patients in need. More than ever, the right and ability to exchange objective scientific findings, which further our understanding of disease, must be protected,” the signatories affirmed.
“This is not medicine. This is not care. These policies may actually constitute crimes against humanity,” the declaration says.
Dr. Robert Malone, an early contributor to mRNA technology, helped organize the summit and declaration.
The early signatories come from all corners of the world, including Dr. Geert Vanden Bossche (U.S.), Dr. Ira Bernstein (Canada), Dr. Pierre Kory (U.S.), Dr. Eivind H. Vinjevoll (Norway), Dr. Olufemi Emmanuel Babalola (Nigeria), Dr. Richard Urso (U.S.) and Dr. Peter McCullough (U.S.).
The COVID outbreak has seen a number of stories of medical professionals facing retribution and other censorship for promoting treatments such as ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine.
Medical associations have also backed stripping licenses from doctors who question the safety of the COVID shots, effectively banning them from practicing medicine.
