How to disagree with anyone

- Some people have a hard time disagreeing, and some have a hard time disagreeing well in a productive manner, I mean. All of us could benefit from being more intentional in how we do it. Enter the disagreement landing zone model, which helps you disagree with someone in a maximally productive way. Here's how it works. Let's begin with the end in mind: the desired outcome of a disagreement or the landing zone, which is to achieve learning and mutual respect. Harvard research shows the key to disagreeing productively is not to focus on being right, but to focus on what you're trying to learn and to state your intent that you indeed are trying to learn all while trying to achieve a state of mutual respect.
