U.S. Army Medical Command and Fayetteville State University sign a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement
Fayetteville State University has signed a master Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the Clinical and Translational Research Program Office of the U.S. Army Medical Command to perform medical Research, Development, Testing, and/or Evaluation (RDTE) work.
The purpose of this agreement is to expedite the transfer of federal technology from the Federal Laboratory to the private sector through the sharing of resources and information towards the successful completion of the RDTE project. The initial participating parties are the Clinical and Translational Research Program Office of the U.S. Army Medical Command and the Research and Technology Transfer of Fayetteville State University.
According to Dr. Jon Young, Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, “We view this partnership is an important step toward linking research, innovation, and technologies developed at Fayetteville State University with the U.S. Army Medical Command.”
The FSU point of contact for the CRADA is Dr. Daryush ILA, Associate Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology Transfer.
Dr. ILA stated, “This agreement will expand the research and development partnership between the U.S. Army Medical Command and Fayetteville State University, including such programs as Nursing, Health Care Management, Biology, Psychology, Forensic Science, Chemistry/Physics, Social Work, Criminal Justice, along with Civic Engagement activities.
