Shiverfest 2024
The theme this year, "Chilling Moments: Photos that Make You Shiver" captures the bone-chilling beauty of winter. The objective of this contest theme is to showcase the power of photography to capture the essence of winter's cold embrace.
Shiverfest 2024 is slightly different this year - although it continues to feature many of our popular activities (pancake breakfast, chili cookof and bingo to name a few!). We added a new event this year: Snow Shoe Races on Saturday afternoon.
The event features two competitions: Adult's race and Children's (under the age of 16) race. There is no entry fee but you will need to register with your name, age and contact info. Obviously this event is weather dependent and will be cancelled if it is too cold or we have insufficient snow. You can register here.
We will also be fundraising and collecting food for the Manotick Food Cupboard. The Cupboard continues to face increasing demands on its services so we are hoping to give them a boost. You will be able to drop off non-perishable goods at any of our events. We will also be donating the net proceeds from the chili cook-off and the trivia night events. Last year we were able to donate $2500!
