What we’re about

NESFA is one of the oldest SF clubs in the nation. The convention that NESFA runs, Boskone, is also one of the oldest in the country. The NESFA clubhouse is located at 504 Medford Street in Somerville.
NESFA hosts a variety of events at the clubhouse in the course of a month. All events at the clubhouse are free to anyone. You don't have to be a member and you do not have to join. All you have to do is open the door and walk in. Game Days, Game Nights, Media Days, Book Discussion Group, the Annual Picnic, the Halloween party, the Bah Humbug game day, and the general Wednesday night gathering are all free to attend. Details for each will be posted in each event listing.
Boskone runs in February, and it's one of the longest running SF conventions out there. Many famous authors attend each year, along with editors and publishers. There are discussion panels, nightly events, an art show, filkers, a dealer's room, and I personally run the game room.
NESFA is also the parent organization of NEGC (New England Gaming Convention). Two have run thus far. Both were 1-day gaming cons.
NESFA Press is the publishing wing of NESFA. NESFAns handle all aspects of the work, from the negotiations to the editing.
You'll see NESFA set up at the Boston Book Festival as well.
info@nesfa.org is the general email address for nesfa. You can also contact me at my email address. The web address is www.nesfa.org
To get to the clubhouse, you can take the 80 bus (drops you off a block away in either direction), and the 89 bus (drops you off on Broadway. Cross Broadway and go past the lights. NESFA will be on your right). There is a small lot in the back for cars (first come, first served) and metered parking on the street. I look forward to seeing you at the various events and thank you for taking the time to check out NESFA.
