The Connecticut Food Bank Mobile Pantry helps address food deserts and transportation barriers that make it difficult for people who are food insecure to access the adequate nutrition they need. The Mobile Food Pantry has the agility to meet the changing needs in our communities.” – CT Food Bank

Northwestern Connecticut Community College has been a host site for the CT Food Bank Mobile Pantry truck since 2010, offering fresh produce to local residents every 3rd Thursday of the month. Volunteers consist of students, staff and faculty from the college, plus local community leaders. For NCCC students, this is a chance to volunteer for a worthy cause, plus students can take home a large box of fresh food.

The CT Food Bank Mobile Pantry is open to any community member who is in need of food. Delivery is:

  • Every 3rd Thursday of the month, 12:00 – 1:00 pm
  • At the corner of Holabird Avenue & Main Street (NCCC Greenwoods parking lot)

For further information on NCCC’s delivery contact Darcie Martineau, site coordinator. For information on the CT Food Bank, or for other Mobile Pantry host sites, go to Mobile Pantry info in CT.

See you at the truck!
