Our 2023 PAMLA Conference was held at the Hilton Portland Downtown between Wednesday, October 25 and Sunday, October 29!
The theme for the 120th Annual PAMLA Conference was “Shifting Perspectives.” As we did in 2022, we unveiled our PAMLA 2023 theme artwork, designed by Michaela Prohov. We were proud to present our favorite creative spotlights and guest speakers, including special talks on the theme in our presidential and plenary address, a conversation with Black American artist Willie Little, creative writing workshops, readings by creative writers, a fabulous tour of Portland’s Japanese Gardens, two film showing and discussions, a short documentary film festival, as well as dozens of exciting sessions.
