511PA Connect gives you the information you need when you need it most.

511PA Connect, is a system the PA Turnpike can activate during prolonged, emergency roadway stoppages. It is an emergency communications tool that allows incident response teams to communicate with travelers stopped in roadway backups via automated phone calls or text messages. During these incidents, all phones in the incident area will receive a push notification to be able to opt-in to receive updates on the incident they are experiencing.

If you are involved in a significant stoppage and receive a notification to opt in, your opt in is only for that incident and will provide you the following:

Ensures travelers can receive official updates in a convenient matter regarding progress and timing.
Reassures travelers that incident response teams are active
Ensures situation awareness for those responding to the incident.
