The United States Opens Its Doors To International Netball Teams At The Calliduscloud U.S. Open Netball Championships

Las Vegas, NV, November 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- For the first time in US history, Netball, is heading to Las Vegas. The CallidusCloud U.S. Open Netball Championships will take place at the University of Las Vegas at Nevada (UNLV), beginning Friday, November 9 through Sunday, November 11, 2012. The tournament will see ladies and mixed teams compete for the CallidusCloud U.S. Open Champion. Netball is a recognized Olympic sport currently played in over 70 countries and enjoyed by more than 20 million people. Netball is a fast, non-contact game based on the principles of basketball except there is no backboard, no dribbling and players have just 3 seconds in which to pass the ball.

Las Vegas will bring together over 250 athletes, representing 23 international and US Netball teams – including a record number of 13 States. Representatives from Australia, Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, England, New Zealand, Arizona, California, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah & Washington and will meet to demonstrate the game, motivate fans and crown a US champion. We are also thrilled to announce that our athletes will be staying “on the strip” at the New York, New York Hotel, a facility owned and operated by MGM resorts.

Friday night will see highlight showcase games commencing at 6.30pm with USA Regional Representative Teams followed by Team Alberta, Canada VS Team USA. Entrance to all events are free to the public. They encourage teachers, students and other spectators to come along and learn about Netball.
