Dr. Doyle is an Associate Professor of Social Work and Medical Sciences. Prior to joining QU, she was a social worker in pediatric and nephrology practices for 20 years, most recently at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. During the summer, she continues to serve as Coordinator for the Ruth Gottscho Dialysis and Children’s Kidney Program at Frost Valley YMCA in New York. In 2021, Dr. Doyle was recognized as a QU Faculty Scholar, and she is a QU Interprofessional Fellow for 2022-2024 working on a relationship-centered leadership curriculum.

Dr. Doyle's research and advocacy focuses on living with rare and chronic health conditions across the lifespan, with a special interest in emerging adulthood and the transition from pediatric to adult-oriented care. Her doctoral dissertation, a qualitative study about cystinosis in emerging adulthood, was recognized as dissertion of the year by the Society for Social Work and Research. She continues to serve as professional advisor to the Cystinosis Research Network and is on the scientific advisory board of the XLH Network.
