Workshop: Writing a Killer Faculty Application | November 8 - 9 | Apply Now
*On behalf of Dr. Ronke Mojoyinola Olabisi, Assistant Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Rutgers University:
"My department is holding a workshop to teach advanced Biomedical Engineering (or related) graduate students and postdocs how to write a faculty application. Women and underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply. We are offering the workshop free of charge. Please distribute to anyone who might be interested."

Getting a faculty position begins with the application. The application generally consists of a cover letter, a CV, a research statement, a teaching statement, and recommendations. While many graduate students and postdocs are familiar with how to put together a cover letter and a CV, the research and teaching statements can be trickier. At this workshop, we will go over what makes a good packet, provide examples, and help you with your application whether you have anything written or not. Space is limited, so apply early. Lodging and meals will be provided, you must cover your own transportation to and from Rutgers. Women and underrepresented minorities are encouraged to apply.
Plan to arrive by the evening of November 7th and leave the afternoon/evening of November 9th. The workshop will run from 9 am - 5 pm November 8th and 9 am - 2 pm November 9th.
