Paws for PRIDE
Congratulations to last week’s Paws for PRIDE winners: Anthony B, Steven B, Mrs. Silvers, Mrs. Radomski, Dhruv D, Zachary K, Ariana H, Abby W, Mason J, and Mrs. VanVreede’s 6th grade class.
Students, classes, and teachers are chosen at random to be recognized and celebrated for demonstrating one of our five character traits - Pride, Respect, Individual Responsibility, Determination & Empathy. Thank you to all of the Titus families for your support of our Paws for PRIDE program.
Parent PD Series
The Titus Elementary School staff is excited to host our Parent Professional Development series again this year. In response to your feedback from last year’s speaker series, we have created monthly features and presentations around topics relevant to the growth and development of our Titus Tigers. In an attempt to reach a larger audience this year, the format of each presentation may be different.
Look for our first Parent Professional Development series each week in the February editions of the Tiger Times. February will feature news and notes from our school nurse, Mrs. Wendell-Wesolowich. Stay tuned for more information in the months ahead!

Parent Positive Speaker Series - February 7th
Registration Information - Save the Date
Registration for the 2019 iRun4Life season will open on Thursday, January 31st at 6:30 PM for students in 3rd through 6th grades. Details regarding the program will be sent home on January 30 in your child's Wednesday folder. If interested, please don't delay...last year we hit our maximum capacity in under 30 minutes!
Volunteers Needed!
If you have a child in grades 3-6 and are interested in volunteering for the 2019 iRun4Life season, please let me know! We need help during our sessions starting Wednesday, March 20th and ending Wednesday, May 8th. We will meet every Wednesday from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. I like to recruit 2-3 volunteers per team so missing sessions, arriving late, and leaving early are not a big deal. As you would imagine, this is a difficult time to recruit parent volunteers, so if you're able to help...we'd really appreciate it. No running is required and we have a lot of fun! If interested, please contact Beth Bell.
Home & School Association:
Bingo Volunteers Needed
Titus' Family Bingo is just around the corner on Friday, February 8th! The night is always an enjoyable time but many hands are needed to help make it a success. There are a variety of ways to help. Please follow this link to view the volunteer opportunities
Contact Amanda Gehringer or Sarah Hamilton with any questions.

Spotted Lantern Flys
There is a rising concern about the Spotted Lantern Fly here in Warrington. This attractive bug is a menace to trees and plants and has destroyed fruit trees and other valuable plantings in other nearby municipalities. If every homeowner reading this can destroy the dormant eggs now by scraping them into a bag and destroying it, we will do much to reduce the spread of this pest. Thanks for helping. See 2 videos https://extension.psu.edu/how-to-remove-spotted-lanternfly-eggs and https://extension.psu.edu/spotted-lanternfly-management-for-homeowners.
