Is that a Soho Home teapot we spy?

Before Meghan Markle became the Duchess of Sussex, she ran lifestyle and wellness blog The Tig. She might have given the website (and her acting career) up, but it would seem she hasn't lost her lifestyle blogger skills.

Over the weekend, Markle had a reunion with her long time friend and wedding make-up artist Daniel Martin. Although we don't know what they got chatting about, we do know she whipped up a very millennial afternoon tea for them.

Martin, who was responsible for Markle's natural wedding make-up look, posted a shot from their catch up on Instagram. Martin posted a flatlay of what they ate, which included chocolate truffles and that classic millennial staple: avocado toast.

“Thank you Meghan for being the consummate hostess this weekend and still being the #avocadotoast whisperer, YUM!”

Some beady-eyed fans also identified the chocolates on the side - a little reference to the Queen’s favourite holiday home, as they appeared to be Fortnum & Mason’s Sandringham Coffee Truffles.

We also noticed Meghan's crockery, including the teapot which looks very much like Soho Home's Country House Teapot.

Before he masterminded Markle’s wedding day glow (which became one of the most requested celebrity make-up looks), Martin used to be a monthly beauty columnist on her blog The Tig.

With guides on everything from transitional make-up through to sun protection, Martin's earliest post for The Tig appears to be from 2014. He is also a celebrity make-up artist in his own right, recently working with Crazy Rich Asians' Michelle Yeoh, The Handmaid's Tale's Elisabeth Moss and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Speaking to South China Morning Post about what it was like doing Meghan Markle's make-up for one of the most-watched weddings in the world, Martin claimed his close friendship with the Duchess made the process pretty relaxed.

"That’s the thing, there really wasn’t any pressure. I’d known her for so long, I know who she is, I knew it would be an easy morning" he said, "when you have a close relationship with [famous] people, you don’t see them the same way as everyone else does, because you know who they are, what their character is.”
