OCEAN ISLE BEACH -- The 15th and final year of the Ocean Isle Beach Bridge Run for Food 2019 will be held on Jan. 19. The course will take walkers and runners over the scenic Ocean Isle high rise bridge to the mainland and back to the island. The races start at 9 a.m. Register online at www.raceentry.com or mail registration forms to SBIC Run For Food, P.O. Box 1461, Shallotte, NC 28459. For more information and race forms, visit, www.SBIC-runforfood.org or contact maprita@aol.com.

All proceeds benefit the South Brunswick Interchurch Council Food Pantry.

The SBIC Food Pantry in Shallotte is one of the principal activities the 16 member church alliance coordinate. Dedicated volunteers from member churches serve with love and compassion at 10 a.m.-noon each Saturday at the Camp United Methodist Church food pantry. The church is located at 4807 Main St., South Brunswick. The food pantry provides canned goods, bread, and meat. They receive enough to furnish each family member with a three day emergency supply of food. This takes much money and dedication. If you are interested in volunteering, donating or just want more information, contact maprita@aol.com.
