Project Overview

A Tucson landmark, the Benedictine Monastery was built in 1938 by the Catholic Church and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Sundt began construction of this project in 2020, adding new apartment buildings around the existing structure. The Monastery has been redesigned to house 37 apartments while maintaining its historic features. The new apartment buildings are between three and five stories and will accommodate a total of 255 apartments in the new construction and 37 apartments in the monastery renovation. In addition, Sundt constructed a two-level, 143-space parking structure. Additional amenities include a café, pool and spa, fitness center, private courtyard, private garages, and additional surface parking. The new construction includes a retail component that will include a F45 Fitness, coffee shop and a brewery. The existing monastery chapel may be renovated into a restaurant.
