Overview

What is the National Corporate Mentoring Honor Roll?
The National Corporate Mentoring Honor Roll (NCMHR) promotes and recognizes private-sector engagement and support of quality youth mentoring. Honor Roll companies recognize that mentoring is a key strategy to connecting youth to social and economic opportunities while building a strong 21st century workforce.

The NCMHR was launched as the Corporate Mentoring Challenge Honor Roll in 2011 by First Lady Michelle Obama in partnership with MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership at the National Mentoring Summit. The White House Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships and the Corporation for National and Community Service were supporters of the Corporate Mentoring Challenge under President Obama’s administration. We have evolved and renamed the initiative to the National Corporate Mentoring Honor Roll (NCMHR).

Why should companies register for the 2018 NCMHR?
Companies that register for the NCMHR will…

· Be invited to nominate employee mentors for a new award – the Corporate Excellence in Youth Mentoring Award, a national award that MENTOR will present annually to employee mentors who are positively impacting the lives of youth. MENTOR will recognize 10 employee mentor honorees exclusively from Honor Roll companies, one of whom will be selected to receive the national award at the National Mentoring Summit in January 2018, the annual event convening nearly 1,000 experts, practitioners, advocates, and corporations to advance mentoring nationwide.

· Have the opportunity to be spotlighted and recognized in national and local press, conferences, special events, congressional briefings, research reports, mentoring field guides, and digital channels.

· Get access to the latest mentoring research, effective mentoring practices, tools and resources to support corporate mentoring initiatives.

· Have networking opportunities with other corporate mentoring initiatives, philanthropic investors in mentoring, MENTOR affiliates and mentoring programs.

If I am currently registered with the former Corporate Mentoring Challenge, do I need to register for the 2018 NCMHR?
Yes. We recognize that corporate mentoring initiatives and support may change each year so we are asking companies to take up to ten minutes to complete the NCMHR registration annually.

What is the deadline to register for the 2018 NCMHR?
The deadline to register for the 2018 NCMHR is October 27, 2017. Please note that the deadline for nominating employee mentors for the Corporate Excellence in Youth Mentoring Award is November 2, 2017.
