Fill Out the Bargaining Survey Today

As the city and the corporations that call it home thrive, SFMTA ridership and use are reaching an all-time high. Meanwhile the workers who put in the hours to meet the growing demands on SFMTA are struggling to afford to live in the Bay Area, often times traveling hours just to get to work or to bring our children to school.

We can't continue to live and work in a city that divides the rest of us from the billionaires and multi-national corporations who are making money off of the use of our city's services but unwilling to pay their fair share. We're committed to negotiate for better services for everyone—not just the wealthy few—and the best possible contract for our members who provide services.

First, we must find out what matters to YOU and which issues YOU think the Bargaining Team should prioritize.

During bargaining, the negotiating team often refers to these survey results. Please take the time and tell us what you think. Every member survey counts

Question Title

* 1. A. HEALTHCARE

Healthcare costs will be a major issue in this year’s bargaining. The City will ask SEIU 1021 members once again for higher contributions for ‘Employee Only’ and ‘Employee plus One.’

In 2014 we fought for—and won—100 percent fully-paid employee healthcare, 96 percent paid dependent healthcare, and 83 percent family coverage.

In 2019, we intend to maintain the healthcare coverage for employees and dependents and to improve family coverage.

Do you agree with this bargaining priority?

Question Title

* 2. B. WAGES

In San Francisco we struggle with rising rents, income inequality, and the fear that working families will be pushed out of their neighborhoods.

In 2019, we intend to fight for wage increases that takes into account the rising cost of living.
