Survey of Unmanned and Autonomous Systems (UMAS) Workforce |
The Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC), Virginia Tech, and community college partners are collecting data to help inform future workforce development and education programs to train the unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) technician workforce and other entry-level positions in the unmanned and autonomous systems (UMAS) sector. This survey should only take about 5-10 minutes to complete.
With support from the National Science Foundation, the project team has already developed some new courses and trained faculty at Virginia’s community colleges through the GeoTEd-UAS project (http://geoted-uas.org/).
