I’m thrilled to be joining evolution of style and 20+ other bloggers this week as we share our holiday home tours. today’s group is sharing our bedrooms spruced for the season. here is a Very Merry Holiday Home // Primary Bedroom Decorated for Christmas!

If you are new here, then welcome! If you’re just stopping by today for the first time, then welcome to This is our Bliss, where I share bits of home decor inspiration, casual chic, style ideas, and a little bit of mom life with three boys!

Last Summer, My husband, boys and I packed up and moved from Illinois to Arizona. [See our empty house tour here] I’ve been working on our home over the last 16 months and just recently finished our primary bedroom project for the Fall One Room Challenge. I am completely in love with how it turned out, but I couldn’t resist making a few very minor tweaks in the spirit of Christmas!

A Very Merry Holiday Home // Primary Bedroom Decorated for Christmas

As I mentioned, I just revealed our bedroom less than two weeks ago! For those that have already seen the finished space, there won’t be many surprises today. after all, I just spent the last two months getting this room exactly how I wanted it to be, so I wasn’t about to go changing too much.

But with a few pops of red, garland & lights, this room has easily become my top spot to spend time in – morning, noon & night!

come take a look…

I started by swapping out the faux greenery for some faux poinsettias from my stash for a bold pop of red and some gold glitter for good measure.

On the other side of the bed, I grabbed several red glitter spiral ornaments, flipped them upside down & stuck them in with my white roses and called it a day!

I also found this little keepsake angel my grandma gave me several years ago and placed it on my marble tray. She loved Christmas so much and this little angel reminds me of the almost 30 Christmas Eves we spent at her house eating Santa cookies, pepperoni bread, and little smokies.

It’s comforting to have her memory at my bedside this time of the year.

The pre-lit garland has moved the staircase in our old house to the outdoor fireplace last year to the top of our headboard this year.

The garland length is perfect and it is battery-operated on a timer! I tied a bow with a piece of black satin ribbon and love the soft glow it gives off in the afternoon all the way up until bedtime.

I added mini DIY wreaths to the front of my framed photos for a subtle, festive touch.

And since I added these frames before the reveal as a last-second addition, the photos inside are about three years old! Now that the secret is out, can we just appreciate these chubby cheeks centered perfectly inside the wreath?!

Around the other side of the room, I simply added a faux fur pillow to my Sherpa swivel chair, a wreath to the front of this abstract art print, a red blanket to the basket, and a crystal bowl full of metallic ornaments to the top of the dresser.

I could’ve just put a bowl of ornaments out and called it quits! It’s such a simple and inexpensive vignette but makes my heart so happy.

I didn’t think I could love our new room any more than I already did, but the subtle Christmas touches really do make it feel special and cozy. I don’t typically use a lot of color in my Decor, but I can always get behind a little bit of red at Christmas time!

I love how it pops against the bold black wallpaper 🙂
