Covid-19 PCR and Rapid tests in Crete

With tourism re-opening in Europe one of the main question right now is where to get tested if you need to show one for returning to your country.

Please don't look here to find out what sort of test, how long it should be valid for and so on. This is information that you will need to check with the official sources of the country you are returning to. or the airline with which you will be flying.

The aim of this page is to provide a list (which will hopefully keep growing) of places where you can get tested towards the end of your holiday and receive a certificate in English in a form that will be accepted for travel.

If you find out new information please let me know so that I can add it to this list.

Right now most labs are located in the cities of the North (Chania, Rethymnon, Heraklion) but hopefully more and more doctors practices in small places will offer their services.
It's probably also a good idea to ask your hosts as they might very well know a lab close to your accommodation.

It seems that most labs and doctors charge around 60 Euro for a PCR test and 20 Euro for a Rapid Antigen test.

If you are returning to the UK you can also purchase a rapid lateral flow test in the UK before you depart and do the test online whilst in Crete. At £39 it is more than twice as expensive as doing a test in Crete but it might be more convenient as you can do it via video call. See https://qured.com/covid-rapid-tests/ for details.
