Former VP Biden to join Donnelly on campaign trail

Former Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to appear with Democratic U.S. Sen. for Indiana Joe Donnelly in Indiana next week.

Donnelly and Biden will be at an early vote rally in Hammond, Indiana, on Friday, Oct. 12. The campaign stop was announced Thursday night.

The rally, which is to take place at the Hammond Civic Center, is designed to "encourage supporters to vote early" and encourage new people to volunteer with the Indiana Democratic Coordinated Campaign, according to a release from Donnelly's campaign.

“It’s an honor to have Vice President Biden on the campaign trail with me in Northwest Indiana, and I’m excited to stand on stage with him once again to spread a positive message for Hoosiers,” Donnelly said in the release.
