PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — As part of its effort to be more inclusive to people with autism spectrum disorders and sensory processing differences, Roger Williams Park Zoo will be offering four sensory-friendly evenings for its ongoing Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular.

The events will be held from 5-6 p.m. each night from Nov. 1 through Nov. 4.

More than 5,000 carved pumpkins will be lit up along the zoo’s Wetlands Trail but there will be no special effects or music. This year’s display features jack-o-lanterns depicting popular movie, book and video game characters, superheroes, Boston sports legends and more.

The events will be held rain or shine.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children ages 2-12, while children 1 and under are free. Zoo members who display their membership card and a photo ID will receive $2 off adult tickets and $1 child tickets.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the zoo’s admissions booth.
