Former UNCW men’s hoops player now Super Bowl champ physical therapist

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)–The New England Patriots won Super Bowl 53 on Sunday night, but what you didn’t know is that the team had a UNCW tie.

Former UNCW men’s basketball player Shane Reybold is now a World Champion with the Patriots, but he didn’t have to even put pads on. Reybold is a team physical therapist for the Patriots.

Shane was a fan favorite for UNCW mens basketball during his team in the Seahawk colors. 2013 was his senior year when he average 6.4 points a game. He now calls a new team on the East coast home.
