A woman charged with the death of her boyfriend admits to the crime this morning.

44-year-old Windi Thomas pleaded guilty to third-degree murder for the death of her boyfriend, 44-year-old Keeno Butler.  Investigators say her weapons were a table leg, a knife, and her body.

The crime happened in the 1000 block of East Avenue in March.  The prosecution and defense are recommending a sentence of 18-36 years.

Defense Attorney Mark Del Duca says, “We think it’s in the best interest of everybody involved.  Obviously, it’s an unfortunate situation for everybody, but I think that this guilty plea and the recommendation we’ve made to the court will be beneficial for all parties involved. “

There’s no date set for sentencing.  Thomas faces up to 40 years.
