Thank you for considering becoming a Head of House for Pitt Project Potter! We are looking for creative and passionate members to lead our houses to success!
Please read the Head of House (HoH) contract below:
1. The Head of House serves as the bridge between the general body members and the E-Board members to keep everyone informed as we aim to raise funds and support the charity of choice with as little speed bumps as possible.
2. The Head of House duties include the following:
Taking attendance at General Body Meetings
Hosting one service and one social event per semester
Encouraging his/her house to attend Project Potter events, and fostering house bonding
Monitoring your house group chat and communicating with your house members regularly
Acting as the voice of your house by communicating with the E-Board any comments, questions or concerns
Meeting with the E-Board once a month
Being in charge of tabling with your House members once a month
3. Relationship between HoH and House Liaison:
A House Liaison is a member of the E-Board who helps the HoH with tasks under his/her domain and reports anything to the rest of the E-Bboard. The House Liaison oversees the work done by the HoH to avoid any inappropriate behavior or arguments within Pitt Project Potter. If the HoH experiences any difficulties, he/she will refer to the House Liaison. Ideas from the HoH and his/her members are to be shared with the House Liaison. All emails and posts must be checked by the House Liaison before they are sent out.
4. Inappropriate behavior, including harassment, sexual harassment, harsh insulting language in posts and emails towards any members will not be tolerated. If house members are behaving inappropriately, they should be reported to the House Liaison or E-Board as soon as possible. The HoH is not allowed to form his/her own form of punishment for house members who do not participate or show any inappropriate behavior. If the E-Board sees fit, he/she will lose the title of HoH and possibly membership. If a problem is ongoing, the HoH may inform his/her liaison or other E-Board members and it will be handled accordingly.
5. If the HoH is unable to perform his/her duties, they will be put under a period of observation. If they do not improve throughout this period, he/she may be demoted.
6. The most important task as a HoH is to have fun! We want you to enjoy yourselves as members of Project Potter and to encourage your members to do the same :)
