The Health Law Partnership (HeLP) is a community partnership between healthcare providers and lawyers created to improve the health and well-being of low-income children and their families by addressing multiple factors affecting children’s health. HeLP is also an educational partnership designed to promote public health through teaching and learning.

ABOUT OUR WORK

Through our partnership, HeLP serves patients of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta [also a 501(c)(3) organization] and their families who live at or below 200% of the U.S. federal poverty level. While more than half of Children’s patients meet this criterion and are insured through Medicaid or self-pay as indigent, more than one-third of HeLP’s families live below 100% of the federal poverty level.

HeLP assists these families with civil legal problems, including those related to public benefits, family stability, housing, education and disability benefits.
